Questions About Selling on the AntiqueStall

Selling antiques and collectables on the AntiqueStall is easy, and below are some common questions - and answers!

Why Should I Register?
If you want to sell items on the AntiqueStall, you have to register. This allows us to know that the items for sale on the site belong to you, and also to calculate the commission due on sales.

Most important of all, unless we have your details, we can't let buyers know how to get in touch with you to buy your stock!

As an added bonus, by registering as a seller, you are automatically registered as a buyer - allowing you to buy items through the AntiqueStall.

What Do I Do To Login?
When you registered with us, you were asked to choose a username and password, so that we could identify you. Simply enter the username and password that you chose into the boxes provided and click the button to be logged in. If you have forgotten your password, you can retrieve it from here.

What Are Groups?
Groups allow you to, if you will, group your stock together. Suppose you sell antique silverware, and most of your stock is hallmarked for London and Birmingham. You might want to create a group called "London", another called "Birmingham" and a final one called "Other". You can then add items into each group as appropriate.

You can then search through your stock based on which group it is in. This is purely for your own administration - customers will not see what group an item is attached to. Note that a group called "All" is created by default.

How Much Commission Am I Paying?
The standard commission rate for items sold through the AntiqueStall is 6%, with a minimum commission of £1.00. However, if you registered before 14 June 2000, you will receive a special rate of 1% for two years (the £1.00 minimum still applies). To see what your commission rate is, click the "View Purchases" button on your seller's home page.
