Questions About Selling on AntiqueStall

Selling antiques and collectables on AntiqueStall is easy, and below are some common questions - and answers.

Why should I register?

If you want to sell items on AntiqueStall, you have to register. This allows us to know that the items for sale on the site belong to you, and also to calculate the commission due on sales.

Most important of all, unless we have your details, we can't let buyers know how to get in touch with you to buy your stock!

What do I do to login?

When you registered with us, you supplied your email address and password, so that we could identify you. Simply enter that address and password that you chose into the boxes provided and click the button to be logged in. If you have forgotten your password, you can retrieve it from here.

What are items, exactly?

An item represents a piece (or pieces if selling a set) of stock. Your items are what potential buyers are looking at when they browse AntiqueStall, so it's important that you present them well!.

How do I add a picture of my item?

If you have a picture of the item that you wish to sell, you can upload it to our servers from your computer. It must be no larger than 2Mb in size (you can see how big your picture is by right-clicking the file in Windows Explorer and selecting Properties), and in either JPEG (.jpg), GIF (.gif) or PNG (.png) format.

I tried to upload an image, but I got an error message!

Check that the image is in the correct format (see How do I add a picture) - web browsers like Internet Explorer and Firefox can only display certain types of image. Make sure that the image is not larger than 2Mb - our system will reject larger images. If you are sure that you have done everything correctly, contact us, with all the details of what you have tried to do.

How Do I Remove Items from the site?

Having logged in, locate the item that you want to modify, and either Hold the item or mark it as Sold. This will prevent the item from being seen by buyers, but will allow you to make it available again at a later date. If you want to remove the item (perhaps you sold it outside AntiqueStall), then Delete the item.
