KIWI ENAMELLED METAL SHOEPOLISH BOX/30s-40s£90
It has the metal shoe shape on top, with the little step where your heel fits, and a hinged lidded front flap where you presumably keep all your brushes and polish. Its a fantastic and very unusual object and one that I would love to keep myself if only I had a bit more space. It is a deep blue colour, and, although the box itself is in very good condition, some of the blue colour has come off around the edges, and it has quite a lot of scratches and a bit of rusting around the base, where it has probably been in the rain. I have chosen to leave it in its original authentic state, because I personally prefer things that way, but it wouldnt take much effort, with a little blue enamel colour, to tart it up a bit if that was your preference. It measures 12 ins (31 cm) to top of shoe (which is also the handle) and 14,5 ins (37 cm) wide. Length of the box at the bottom is 16.5 ins (43 cm).
